Persistence despite Revolutions and studies on IQ

Both those papers aren't about IQ, they don't even mention it.

It's about social and human capital in relation to wealth. They are saying that there are other factors that play a role in the formation of human capital outside of family financial resources in the next generation.

To put it in layman terms it looks at whether having more money (wealth) helps parents provide better opportunities for their children and grandchildren, such as education or better jobs.

Suggest that simply having more money doesn’t guarantee better opportunities for future generations. Other factors like family values, social networks, or cultural habits might play a bigger role in shaping the success of children and grandchildren.

''This suggests only a limited role for family financial resources in the formation of human capital in the next generations in this environment and a potentially more important role for other factors that persist through family lines.''

I dont know about that iq stuff. But what i can tell you does persist is culutre. Most of ssa will struggle for a long time because they never had a culutre of bureaucracy before colonialism. And even during colonalism it was mainly white people in charge. Same thing with writing. Non islamic africa had no writing and suddenly adopted lanaguged with extermely well developed literary traditions. It normally takes societies multiple centuries to localized and adapt foreign literary traditions and their normally not exposed to its full scope all at once.
