I wanted to ask for some advice in picking my degree. I want to hear some other opinions to help me figure out.

Stay away from IT and software engineering related fields. The market for these fields are oversaturated everywhere mainland Europe, UK, US, AUS and even the middle-east. The Ai will exacerbate this even further. Choose health related field, nursing (Somali men look down to this), doctor, or dentist. I heard dentists are in high demand.I wanted to ask for some advice in picking my degree. I want to hear some other opinions to help me figure out.

I was looking more at Civil or chemical engineering. I'm not the best at maths but for a good life I could sit through it. I think I really like Law and politics so I may try do a combined degree between those and economics.Have you tried looking into combined degrees? Stuff like Comp Sci/Economics? But in all honesty even though you said you dont see yourself in engineering I reccomend you to look into petroleum engineering or aviation engineering very flexible and can be done anywhere in the world with decent demand.
I'd rather not do medicine. I'm not a fan or the subject. I used to be but I could not sit through such a demanding degree. I know a lot of Somali ladies who do nursing, my friend does actually. But she clearly doesn't want to do it and it's making her miserable. I wonder why men look down on it though. Its better than being unemployed so I don't knoe why they're sat on a high horse.Stay away from IT and software engineering related fields. I see. Yeah I was looking at a Politics and Economics course. Highly respected. Switching would be a little hard right now but Inshallah if it is right for me Allah will find me a space on that course.Economics and business will set you for life

Ai will be taking everyone’s job for that matter. If it takes the IT/Soft crowd we are all screwed. Maybe health care will stand the test but even then these people will take over. Also Cs/Soft/IT are still good careers that companies want. It’s oversaturated with people who think they can code but fail basic algorithmic tests (what my manager said to me). But I’d say CS is too much of a grind it’s not something you can be mediocre especially because we are a minority. A lot of the people I’m graduating with can’t even write code yet they are in Comp Eng, CS and Soft. It’s astounding.Stay away from IT and software engineering related fields. I’d say do EE. Maybe in the UK civil engineering pays well and easy to get into but where I’m from it’s bad.I'd rather not do medicine. I'm not a fan or the subject. Yeah comp Sci is oversaturated and you can do conversion masters in the UK so why bother getting a degree in it.
I was thinking more civil engineering. I like building and I've always wanted to help rebuild Somalia a little bit. I'm hesitant to go down that route though because I feel getting a degree and a career for a goal I may not achieve is a bad idea. I at least like the idea of international law/criminal law by themselves.
Thanks Bro.I did PPE bro dont let these STEM nerds trick you study what you want otherwise the next 3 years will be hell
Hasn’t UCAS deadline already passed?
I'm don't do Physics right now. I could cram it I guess but I'm not sure I'd get into that course right now. I don't want to take a gap year as I'm on my 2nd gap and need ro go uni now.Ai will be taking everyone’s job for that matter. If it takes the IT/Soft crowd we are all screwed. I think that's everywhere broIn america engineering, and nursing have a great ROI.
