Some isaas also got deported but the thing French deported a lot of other Somalis due to the time that everyone was on somaliweyn juice. Djibouti was suppose to be added along with British somaliland and somaliland Italia to make somalia . But the French rigged the referendum towards Djibouti being its own country.

French did not favor the Cisse at all. They "tolerated" them. that would be a more of an appropriate word. They liked afars way more. Also many Somalis moved from Dire Dawa to British/French/Italiana Somalia at the time as well not just Ciise as Dire Dawa and Harar were places where many Somalis went to study Islam.
General Charles de Gaulle hated Somalis and said “the expulsion of Somali foreigners is to continue to be organised, the Barrage around Djibouti is to be rebuilt and reinforced”. French/Afar bombed and built a fence around Djibouti city, to stop Somalis from liberating it

They have tried that several times since Djibouti independence in 1977 and had been defeated and crushed each time.
Djibouti existed as independent country for more than 22 years before Ina Gelle election as president and it will still continue to exist InshAllah, Pm Hamza needs to stop the non sense.
After 1967 referendum and the deportation of many Isaaqs who were btw responsible for the growth of Djibouti city alongside Gadabursi and Arabs, The French authorities decided to change the name of the territory from French Somaliland Côte française des Somalis to French Territory of the Afars and the Issas Territoire français des Afars et des Issas to downplay the voice of other Somali communities that called for union with Somali Republic by favoring the Ciise community to share equal power with Afar community in the territory.
