Why should he?

People are really of two types, those that are straight and those that are not.

The man came with concessions and was treated in such an undiplomatic way, he is instead meeting with the elders.

The international community along with the rest of the federal states with the exception of 1 is united.

Had Deni from the get go refused the visit unless the SFG makes the concession that he wants, I would have had respect for him, regardless whether I agree or disagree with his position.

But instead it was nothing more than the typical dog and pony show for the infidels to give the false impression as though he is ready for talks and concessions when he really isn't.

As a result invaluable time is wasted, and even worse all the money spent on this facade while the masses are in abject poverty.

The fact that you want to have "sharaf dinner" after all of this is laughable and the height of hypocrisy, it's nothing more than a cheap political stunt.

This is the type of dealings you see in large cooperation, the guy stabs you in the back, but wants to take you out for lunch to rub it in further.
Seems like PM Rooble underestimated the current simmering partisan politics of the nation. The two concessions that he put forth: changing the current Federal Electoral Commission and the appointment of poll body for Somaliland MPs weren't enough to be honest, even though they're a step in the right direction. Refusing to withdraw their forces from Gedo region is a deal breaker, how the FGS expect Jubaland to hold elections in the region when an entire province is currently annexed by its radical forces?!!. We are determined to make no more concessions to the importunate wannabe dictator of Villa Somalia.

When your host offers food and drink; refusing these refreshments is not just impolite, it's downright disrespectful and embarrassing in our culture. Even his clan members on social media were ashamed of his rude behaviour.

Watch the Dahir Alasow video.

Apparently Farmaajo even stopped Rooble's wife (Sheekhaal) from inviting the HAG ladies for dinner.

Farmaajo said "No, don't invite the ladies that insulted me".

:gucciwhat:

This is the childish, playground dictator politics Somalia's suffering through right now. They don't want dialogue let alone reconciliation, they just want to steal an election and break all sorts of laws, protocol to do it.

Dahir is right "Sharaf daro"-- this is a new low for Somali politics. Even through strife and disagreement, nobody turns down dinner invitations, not even an invitation to drink tea.

Before Farmaajo selected Rooble to be his puppet, I mean, "PM".. he used to work for ILO, where he spent most of his time in Garowe.

Instead of going to the state dinner where the President and the elders were waiting for him, he was roaming around Garowe going to the spots he used to frequent for "bragging" purposes. Allegedly...

Rooble magaalada Garoowe shaqaale buu ka ahaa 10 sano ka badan wuxuu ka shaqeen jiray Haya,ad intaan laga dhigin Ra,isulwasare. Rooble wuxuu faan ugu tagay maqaayadihii iyo meelihii uu fariisan jiray markii uu shaqaalaha ka aha magaalada Garoowe laakiin waxaa ceeb iyo sharaf daro ah casho sharaftii loo sameeyay in uu u gooyay ileyn ninku waa caqli caruur.

A novice in politics indeed.
His character is too weak for the scalding hot politics of Somalia. He should've stuck with his comfortable ILO job of writing HR reports for the UN Agencies.

His English sucks too, I listened to one of his speeches in English and he was struggling with pronouncing some of the words.

If those concessions were not enough, don't waste the man's time and even worse the ridiculous amount of money that was spent when the entire nation is destitute and impoverished.

Leading your guest on an expensive goose chase, intended to waste invaluable time while trying to humiliate and score cheap political points to me is the height of gunimo.

But as always, one man's gunimo is another's gobonimo, so it wouldn't really surprise me if you saw it that way, because not everyone is cut from the same cloth.

Where's the gobanimo in refusing your host's food and refreshment offers?!! That's deeply offensive regardless of the disagreements between the two parties.

What are you talking about?

Roble insisted on coming to Garowe, he brought up the same issues and Puntland stuck by its previous demands. Instead of acting like an astute politician, he boycotted the dinner with the powerbrokers of Puntland like a petulant child and ruined his own reputation.

You are one of the few people jumping through hoops excusing his astonishing rudeness and poor judgement.

It's so weird and shameless. Puntland as the host has to follow protocol, islamic tradition AND Somali tradition by at least feeding the man.

He could have spent this time meeting the elders and politicians who represent Puntites but instead he roamed around Garowe like a common civilian.

Farmaajo has toyed with this man's career and humiliated him. He doesn't even consider him a worthy ally or even a valued friend. He could have thrown him a lifeline, allowed him to act neutral to buy himself a chance at a long political career.

Instead he put a suicide vest on Rooble and said "die when I die".

"You cant go to dinner in Garowe"
"Your wife cannot host a dinner for HAG ladies in Mogadishu"

:browtf:

I got newfound respect for His Excellency PM Roble. He seems like a no-nonsense guy and saw that Deni was not serious in solving any issue and he bounced. Waste someone else time:salute:

There is a reason why he didn't go, it will be clear later on. He did well, there is no point going there as well. And the people invited are people who are set to mess with the PM's sharaf and waste his time. What's more important is visiting the poor shacab who are affected by the inflation and this new policy of only using dollar. And seeing how much they are affected and their living conditions as their prime minister.

Another N&N bot who doesn't know what he's talking about.

Rooble was hanging around hotel Martisoor, a place only the elite can afford to be in and he went to a clothing store .. He didn't spend time with an average civilian let alone any civilian that is truly affected by financial issues.

Wait:cosbyhmm:

Didnt you make a post a few days ago praising Roble for having a mind of his own, when did he become Farmajo's puppet? I'm guessing he only became one after he stood you up :dead: :hahaidiot:
