Then used their meaningless arguments to justify your stance. I'm not hating, i'd just like to say, maybe it's best to step back and look at what sharia law, again dumb term, is. Which is an abstract concept, since it's based on an abstract, and highly self interpretable text. Any people could morally justify governing themselves based on how they interpret the Quran, and come out mostly fine as a starting society. Just because the middle east has a certain way of looking at it, doesn't necessarily mean that their way is the correct, nor only way of looking at it. Again, not hating. Just taken back by how Bill O'reilly like your question was posed. There's more than two choices, almost always about how to approach something like this.

A bunch of nonsense. If people wanna follow the religion and use sharia laws in their households fine but forcing that upon millions of people is stupid.

@Barni you can't oppose Sharia law. It's like opposing the slaughter of animals but continuing to eat meat. It doesn't make any sense. The Sharia completes a Muslim. The Sharia is to Islam as gas is to a car.

I oppose it as a way to govern an entire country. If a person wants to use it personally I'm fine. but Sharia law would not work not in modern times.

^I think you missed the point of what i was saying. But if you feel this way, i'm certainly not about to change your mind. But i would seriously give thought to what i wrote. Sharia law, which literarily means law law if translated to english, in it's current news worthy form, is a middle eastern concept. Somali's have ruled themselves through islamic teachings for a long time, and ruled themselves differently than the arabs because we were and are a different people. We allowed customs that we felt were acceptable and within the confines of what we deemed to be islamic. Like dancing and playing drums, which the middle easterners find prohibitive, but we don't. So choosing a binary argument for something that isn't and shouldn't be classified as binary is redundant and serves to only show you just want to re-enforce your perspective and to pigeon hole others into your view point through the illusion of choice, and if not that, through being dismissive. Again, not meaning to be offensive, just constructive criticism on my part.

And who gave you the right to say that? You're not Allah. Islam has said mainly times not to force anything upon someone a law like the Sharia law is compulsion.
