I think it is hard for some people to understand that Issaq is not trying to extend anywhere. Sh Issaq is in Maydh, so that gives you some idea of how long Issaq people have been there. HY have always been a power in Sanaag. They have the best things in the east, and have no desire to grab what is to the east of them. If anything, Issaq has lost more territory than any other tribe in Somalia, considering that most of our lands were in Ethiopia and we used to also have a large share in Djibouti that is being eroded.
