What Hawiye want is to get 8 representatives in the Upper House for each of their federal states for a total of 24 out of 54. While Jubaland and Koonfur Galbeed combined get 16 reps in the same house. It is a joke that will never be implemented, and Farmaajo will fail and lose all support if he entertains it.

They feel emboldened the day galnus received the same amount of MPs as Jubbaland which is larger and actually fulfills the requirements. I don't think that would've happened if Farole was at the negotiation table.

somaliland has done it , Puntland is on its way , next will be jubbaland each territory will operate as its own country but will have good relations and our common somalinimo will enchance trade

ALL this time i was against Somaliland claiming independence.Now i see there argument .

I believe if Puntland and Somaliland teamed up they could pressure other somalis and the international community to change the capital to the north. They have legit arguments to do that e.g Alshabab, the peace up north etc. Lets put aside our differences and think about our children....

i think changing the capital wont even work it will be the same problem in a different region. I mean look at how people are complaining about isaaq domination of somaliland. BUT AT LEAST stuff like this is manageable in smaller doses.
the more i follow Somali politics closely the more i realize we need an EU style system. WE ARE ALL SOMALIS that wont ever change
BUT every region needs to be a own country with its own capital we can have tariff free trade ect like the EU but each region is its own country!
Time for me to go back to Jubbaland and work on our own future country with Kismayo as our Capital.

Nothing cause they're somalidiid whereas Mogadishu & garoowe share somalinimo sure they maybe ups and downs but when the going gets tough the tough get going. Personally I believe somalidiids in somaliland play a large role when it comes to destabilising Mogadishu dahabshiil funds many operatives cause it serves their citiraaf agenda. If I was to choose between living in Mogadishu or hargaisa personally I would choose Mogadishu even though it's not safe & hargaisa is..
