Golis is partially owned by Hormuud and partially owned by Puntite businessmen, same would go for any bank that Hormuud operates in Puntland.

You should worry about what assets your Kacaanist people own that you haven't stolen or begged from the Somali people.

IBS is owned by uae banks, (have large shares). I'm not sure it been long time i read about it. thats my guess.

Salaam Bank in Puntland is in partnership with Golis, which is owned by Puntite shareholders and Hormuud.

Salaam Bank was established in February 2011.[1]

As a financial institution, the bank provides personal banking and corporate banking. Its Islamic banking services and facilities include Mudarabah, Murabaha, Musharakah and Istisna'a. Additionally, the bank offers electronic banking, SMS banking, mobile banking and internet debit.

In August 2011, the bank also launched an independent (Kaaftoon) service partnering the institution with Golis Telecom Somalia.[3]

I used to think that the best thing about Somalia's instability, was that foreigners were afraid to come in and invest. We don't want to become those African countries whose economy is mostly owned by foreigners.

they have different names the one in the south is called is called Salaam Somali bank, and the one in Puntland is called Salaam bank, and the headquarter is in Djibouti and its called Salaam African Bank, and all three have different websites.

Ok thanks I didnt know this they literally use the same logo so thats why I confused the two, Salaam bank in Xamar is a subaffiliate of Hormuud which has many branches like Taaj and Dhoweeye

I don’t care about taxation, that’s not the task of a central bank. That’s the job of the tax office. The Central Bank most urgent task is to regulate the valuta and the banking system. They can’t regulate the currency if Puntland doesn’t have it’s own currency…The PL leadership should show firm political courage and implement their own currency. Sharing a currency with a failed state is very detrimental to your finances as we’ve seen with the hyperinflation of last year.
