He defeated Al-shabab in just 4 months, without any casualties or deaths. The next big step we have to take is oil and gas. Prices are high and the demand is great. The country needs development. We need roads, schools, hospitals and jobs for the people. For this to be done we need to tap into our resources. Oil and gas are a good option. Seismic surveys have shown that we have it and inshallah a lot of it.

Focus on revenue raising in all aspects for sure. Now that Shabaab can be defeated, he needs to focus on boosting agriculture. Probably the easiest place to start

Yes, agriculture and livestock are important, including manufacturing and fishing. Galmudug should invest in a tuna and fish plant. We can also start drilling for our offshore oil. The companies know where the oil is, and they can make huge profits as prices are high.

He can take out Galmudug and hirshabeele oil but he aint touching South West. If he wants to take out oil in Baraawe it has to run by Madaxweyne Laftagareen otherwise it aint happening.

We should reach consensus. I hope all the South-Central states bargain for a good deal. We shouldn’t however oppose the 2020 deal in principle given it’s already been passed like PL has.

FGS should take a slice as they cover security costs and many institutions like central bank, education, schools etc but a big slice should go to the FMS as economic devolution is a good thing

Good idea about the majority of the oil money going to oil producing states.

I think its not the right time to be thinking about oil in somalia. We dont even have any peace or stability in the future we will inshallah

Might be too late by then lol. We should sign deals that pay up front so we can get revenue before any oil is produced. More revenue for the FGS and FMS’s is critical to see improved security

You have a point. Oil is reducing in value every day as we move onto electic cars etc
