I support preventing the current kids of today from watching television, back in my day as a kid we at least had decent shows. The kid shows these days are just tragic. Best to spare them from it.

I think youtube is worse than TV if its not monitored. Youtube you get instant gratification at least with TV the adverts are longer and you have a smaller selection of shows.

Television is a menace.

TV is unpopular nowadays (Unless it’s Netflix or playing video games). What you should be concerned about is your child having too much internet access which is far easier and more brainwashing.

Slippery slope logic again, you can't compare a major sin to watching Tv. If you want to have an Amish lifestyle, fine; but watch your kids rebel and turn into ciyaal suuqs. Make them have a balance of things because I'm pretty sure your parents let you watch TV.

watching tv is not good, fun doesnt justify the negative effects of it.
fun in the west is evil, which is why most muslims in the west associate anything haram as fun.
