We must protect the Somali coasts from these toxic residues left first by the countries of the first world and then by the mafias of those places when such a practice was prohibited. Dumping these industrial wastes near the beaches causes many problems such as the disappearance of fishing and pollution of the sea and endless diseases

In December 2006 the giant waves of the tsunami destroyed many things, bringing a strange object onto the beach. Inside there is poison, an expedition found about 40 barrels, some were full, others had been damaged by the waves and their contents had dissolved in the sea

It is not an easy matter, since the lack of governance complicates the patrolling of the sea by the authorities and the governments end up being complicit obtaining wealth and housing in luxurious places like parts of Kenya.

Pirates themselves may owe their origin in response to this particular problem

This toxic waste dumping affects the livelyhood of local fisherman that rely on the clean water to provide for their families. This is the reason why I never felt bad about people calling us Somali pirates etc because these men are just patrolling our same precious coastlines where multinational corporations serving various foreign governments governments dump their toxic waste.
