Did they Plan this war. Study ISIS previous theaters of operation like Syria and Iraq to at least do some war drills around those possible scenarios?
Was the terrain accounted for and mountain warfare studied by cultures who live in Mountains and War? I'm worried alot of this casualty could've of been avoided if some actual military plan was developed and the soldiers given their tasks inside of it.

Puntland State has launched a large-scale counterterrorism operation against ISIS terrorists hiding in the Cal Miskaad mountain range. More than 50 ISIS members have surrendered to the Puntland State Defence Forces.
The people of Puntland State have shown solidarity in rooting out terrorism from the mountainous areas where ISIS was planning to establish its base in East Africa. About one-third of ISIS fighters are believed to be foreigners.

Their not dumb, they know terrorist only harm Muslims, call themselves Islamic representative yet noone chose them(khawarij), everywhere they operate brings disaster only(so ppl assume their on foreign payrolls).
