There were 9 stagnate years prior to Siad Barre that was exactly what you want but whether it was democratic or autocratic has nothing to do with it. I am trying to get to the bottom of the correlation people like you who oppose federalism draw which is to oppose federalism because in your mind it is responsible for the situation in Somalia however I asked you what would change if neither Puntland or federalism existed and you have no answer. Therefore the logical conclusion here is your problem isn't federalism (which hasn't been implemented) it's the existence of Puntland.Siad Barre era was a centralised Auocratic nation.
I'm stating we should push for a centralised DEMOCRATIC nation. These processes take time but we should plan them today. If we don't do that Somalia will continue to further fragment.
Puntland itself is an attestament to the idea of centralisation.
Let me ask you a question, what do you think the power ration between the federal states and the FGS be eventually?
We don't know what the power sharing will be but the federal government will have very little say and won't sign any foreign deals that impact member states without the input of given state. That's always been the position of Puntland and it won't change.
