Stealing from orphans? That's like 99.9% of Somali politicians. Gaas can't even pay his own troops, he's stealing from Puntland's meager resources. Come to me with something specific to Somaliland. Qat and moonshine liquor is a huge problem in Puntland as well. I don't know why Somaliland is always accused of it, I can chew more qat in Bosaso and Xamar than I can in Hargeisa.

Well for starters Somaliland officials are known for stealing millions of dollars while their wives live in government housing

Everyone who knows something about politics knows that Puntland has surpassed other regions in terms of foreign policy. It took huge steps under Halyey Amir Faroole's administration to the point that he went head to head with Somali government and shared the same stage as two former presidents of the SFG. Even Faysal waraabe who hates Puntland admitted that Puntland has better diplomatic relations with the international community and that they have more friends across the globe.

This is a low information thread which doesn't really have to say anything interesting to say about how the international community views PL. It's common knowledge that countries like Sri Lanka, Seychelles, Maldives deal with the mamul gobleeds on an issue by issue basis such as piracy since they are disproportionately affected by these issues.
