Puntland elders of North Mudug said;


1) In Galmudug dhulka reer guuraagoodu u hayaameen u aqoonsan yihiin inuu yahay dhul Puntland leedahay.

2) Inaan wax hub ah reer guuraaga Galmudug uusan lasoo geli karin gudaha Puntland, iyagana ammaankooda waxaa damaanad qaadaya dowladda Puntland.

3) Inay cadeeyaan goorta ay ka guurayaan dhulka loo fasaxay, maadaama aan la isku dhex jiri karin inta colaada la yahay.

4) Inaan lagu xadgudbi karin ugaardha iyo deegaanka, maadaama dowladda Puntland aysan ogolayn arrintaas.

5)In si sharuud la’aan ah lagu furo wadada laamiga ah ee dhinaca Galmudug ka xiran.

Odayaasha Puntland waxay caalamka u sheegeen inay weli dhankooda adkaynayaan heshiisyadii la wada galay, laakiin dhinaca walaalaha Galmudug uu mar walba dhibku xagooda ka imaanayo.

How can they disarm people who do not trust Puntland?

I will say this though; Galmudug nomads should realise that this is the moment to represent their people in a good light.

Fighting Puntland or Puntland nomads, will only ensure that the next drought will be fatal as there won't be any benevolence or neighbourly spirit left.

If something drastic is not done about this, there will be civil unrest amongst puntlanders. If they're disarmed, it might cause a war. Either way a conflict will occur.

Galmudug nomads are going to be disarmed, not Puntland or its nomads.

Puntland will ensure the safety of the guests, if they cooperate of course.


It's just common sense, you don't come into someone's house with weapons or whilst you do not recognise that the house is not yours but theirs..

But judging from history, I don't think they will cooperate but instead will put their families at risk of death by clan warfare or drought when they are forced to go back home.

Why do you guys have such disdain for Galmudug?

The enemy isn't the neighbouring gobol it's the environment and poor land management practices.

Every nomad should be allowed to open carry firearms. Eventually the government can develop a system to register gun owner ship of nomads and restrict there possession to only long barrel rifles and eliminate Ak47s, assault rifles and concealed firearms. Nomads are crucial to providing intelligence reports of the land since access is limited by vehicle. They are the eyes and ears of Somalia; blinding them and having thier concerns fall on deaf ears is a catastrophy.

Every nomad regardless of Qabil have similar challenges: Drought, disease, Terrorist and unguided regulation.

This is a cheap ploy to try to justify attacks on reer galmudug.

We already have a government, we don't need PL to "disarm" us.
