There was the Mohamed Sayid Atom/Al Shabab fiasco that occurred in the late 2000s when the Warsangeli fought against the invading Puntland forces who were trying to steal their resources and give them nothing in return. Instead of resolving it peacefully by giving the natives their fair share of THEIR resources, they called them terrorists and fought them.

If Puntland is serious in defeating Al Shabab, they need to stop this greediness. They wouldn't be able to operate in Galgala if the natives didn't have legitimate grievances.
