I agree with the strategic assessment that HSM has made but in a medium-term view the goal is independence from these countries who undoubtedly are our enemies, Kenya just sold rights for oil and gas to the sea that Somalia owns, neither Kenya or Ethiopia are friend of the Somali state but doing their bid in their own interest for Kenya decrease Al-Shabbab control and stabilize Somalia just enough to send refugees back and in Ethiopia to gain international recognition and avoid sanctions for its open human rights abuse and increasing aid funding.

The union has been broken since the day it started. Kenya and Ethiopia had nothing to do with it.

Somaliland is and will remain independent with or without recognition. We're focusing on building our economy. Recognition will naturally follow.
