2) push-ups work your triceps, front delt shoulders and chest. You'll hit the chest more if you pull back your shoulderblades.
3) Yes. It will make you stronger, strength and muscularity are correlated.
4) In many cases the hip-refloxers take over the sit-up movement, that's why people feel it in the lower back. It is dangerous. Luckily this can be easily corrected by squeezing the glutes (butt cheeks) during the whole movement. Squeeze the glutes and you won't feel it in your lower back.
5) Pull ups is good for your lats, the muscle that gives you the elusive v-body frame. It targets your forearms and back. Chin ups targets, aside from your lats also your biceps, a matter of fact it activates your biceps more than a bicep curl
