It's my view only but I prefer ancient traditions that people respect with a mix of quranic laws. I want a QANUUN a code of laws derived from either source and measured to which is most suitable for our times. The caliphate was no different, it was adjusted based on their time. Ottoman empire and Rashidun didn't apply islam the same. It was different time periods. The ottomans were a war machine and capturing lands and iraqi-syria-andalusia caliphates were more learning and building and co existence.

It's kinda true in a way Islam has the answers, depending on HOW ITS USED. If it's used like shabab, it's terrible and needs to be disregarded. But if used wisely and adjusted to the time, it's not a problem.

I am very pro tradition and culture and don't want Islam to penetrate that hard like it did with Sudanis, removing all traces of their past. I prefer a dual approach to maintain the traditions and culture of the land without saying it's haram and all that nonsense which is how Islam killed so many cultures that didn't know how to accomodate your tradition with the faith. That's my opinion though.
