These were third world countries at the start of the previous country. They still have peasant third world mentality with high corruption and nepotism. Where most households rely on remittances from the diaspora, one-sixth of the poor are living in extreme poverty, and only twenty percent of the labor force is employed. Like @Professor said, you can't blame anyone over there if they were tempted by this offer. They would have the same salary as a Lt.colonel in the SNA if it's on a one year visa.

The real worry is if one of them ends up in Libya or Syria to fight for groups supported by Qatar. I rather have them training inside Qatar during the duration of their visa than dying in war zones.

I am not Blaming them for signing up. I havs a problem with the meagre salary they are being offered. It is exploitation. They are very capable of paying them well.
