Imagine a terrorist ridden country having a president which despises the idea of having a functioning armed forces. That is Somalia at the moment.

Idk if you fellas remember but when farmaajo was in office there was this whole business about biometric cards and stuff for the soldiers, farmaajo for all his faults made a big deal about restructuring and rebuilding the army somewhat.
HSM who was opposition at that time came out against the move and said word for word “Somalia doesn’t need a strong military, it needs conference and dialogue”. bear in mind this was when AS had stepped up their bombing attacks etc. HSM was literally advocating for negotiations with AS and you’ve got CBB spooks oo maskahda ka dhalooshey running around saying he’s taking the fight to AS.
This is small scale of the corruption that goes on. The aid agencies steal the most while the somalis steal the crumbs left. Really shameful
