Arab world is far more different than Somaliweyn. The Arab world is split between North Africans who have berber origins; Leventines who have phoenician/ancient greek origins and gulf arabs(including Egypt) who are the real arabs, plus they have very different dialects etc. However, Somalis have no real difference between them & only have minor regional differences.

It doesn't change that there are political differences.

Wallah i cringe at the amount of excuses folks use to justify the status quo & for qabiil. We as a people need a benevolent dictator to rid of these diseases(qabiil etc.) that our people suffer from. Our situation is truly pathetic as a homogeneous people.

It's most likely going to be under a federal model anyways so Somaliland has achieved its purpose in my opinion. A unitary state will never work for Somalis and more and more are realizing this everyday.

a decentralized system like that would not work and in a region where you here Arabs to the north , Ethiopians to west and Bantu to the south, your asking for someone to try influence the system and its would be easy. if Africa was like Europe with its politics and stability then yeah go for it. A centralized system would get things moving fast and on point, with the right people in power, if Somalis are realizing your idea was a good one. However, with less important stuff I'm cool with state level governments taking that responsibility.

Somalis should unite so we can finally become a super power again. I see some people trying to compare us to Ethiopians/ Eritreans and Arabs so that they can make an excuse for secession. What you guys forgot was that these Arabs and Habeshas created some of the most powerful empires in history when they united (Axum and Ummayad Caliphate), and they both had their own golden age. Today since they are disunited, they have become weak. Now, the Ethiopians and the Arabs follow the will of the Europeans like dogs on a leash.
InshaAllah Somalis will unite and we will take our rightful position as the leaders of the world.
