Of course no one remember every detail part of our childhood that is crazy lol, unless photographic memory. Traumatic experience is caused by the bad event that previously occur in usually their formative year. It can be direct experience that happened or even something they just witness.

it clearly states in the quran to follow prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) aka follow the sunnah aka follow the hadith "whoever obeys the messenger has obeyed Allah." (surat an nisa) and there's a lot of proof in the quran stating the importance of following the sunnah it may not necessarily say the word "hadith" but is quite clear our Lord means hadith. Anyone that rejects the sunnah is not a muslim period.
