Personally I do not have the time to explain my hair, my skin, my culture, my heritage, and a lot more stuff to another person. A Somali partner will just get me easily and their parents can speak to my parents in Somali. the thing is, if you're truly open to marrying anyone that you match well with regardless of ethnicity, odds are (If you're a minority in the west) there's still a high chance of you getting with someone from a similar ethnic background, just more organically.

I'm dark skinned and got type 4 hair. You gotta realize some of these communities have some weirdness about type 4 hair and dark skin. Before you say Somalis do too I would just like to state no Somali person has ever come up to me and said "Oh what do you do with that type of hair." Also, no somali person has ever come up to me randomly saying how they cant stay in the sun too long as they do not want to get dark. But I have had many ajanabi do it to me. No xishood.
