Oh god why must you remind me :deadrose::eminemdamn::mjsuitcry:

(Fasting in Nothern Europe could be quite troublesome due to the long day hours) lasts about 75% of the day.:tocry:
On the other hand, i can decide not to be a conformist salaf and fast 18hrs like the prophet wouldve
What do you mean 'salafi conformist'? The prophet (SAW) fasted from dawn till dusk which is probably less than 18 hours (depending on where you live). This is even in the Qur'an dude, I have these verses memorised. I know them like I know my name.

It is made lawful for you to have sexual relations with your wives on the night of As‑Sawm (the fasts). They are Libaas [i.e. body-cover, or screen, or Sakan (i.e. you enjoy the pleasure of living with them)] for you and you are the same for them. Allaah knows that you used to deceive yourselves, so He turned to you (accepted your repentance) and forgave you. So now have sexual relations with them and seek that which Allaah has ordained for you (offspring), and eat and drink until the white thread (light) of dawn appears to you distinct from the black thread (darkness of night), then complete your Sawm (fast) till the nightfall

[al-Baqarah 2:187]

Some places like Alaska have it worse, some days the sun doessnt even fully set, instead just dips by the horizon and comes back up. Surely in situations like this Allah would allow us to use our human rationality and not starve to death. :browtf:

Another explanation could be Allah overlooked this problem because he's not real and was invented by a 7th century Arab with no proper understanding of Geography outside of the Meccan desert :hemad:

They can risk their health in hopes of eternal reward all they want. I just think there is a healthier and more moderate way to go about it :mybusiness::kobeok:

If you think there are health risks to fasting for 18 hours, then you clearly don't know as much about the human body as you claim. Why don't you just take the L because we all know there are Muslims all over the world that fast for 30 days. If your attempt to make yourself looking rational, you're doing the exact opposite ma garatay

The real fasting time is actually 21.4 hours here, You are welcome to try it for as long as you can, English boy. Also my bad, the prophet wouldve fasted for about 14hrs if it where in mideast solar time. So am going to do 14 hrs ^-^

Loooool are you actually retarded be honest? Misse autistic maa tahay? The verse did not state a specific location, so it's from dawn to dusk no matter where you are. The Prophet (SAW) would've fasted from dawn till dusk.

Dude, dawn to dusk means dawn to dusk. Whether you're in Alaska or Mombasa. Doqon foqol doqon

Since Islam has spread from its Arabian heartland to the far reaches of the Earth, Muslims who live farther north must fast several hours longer than those in Mecca.
The former imam thinks this should change and has issued a fatwa, or religious ruling, calling for "moderate timings" to be accepted for those who need them.

This just agrees with everything I've been saying.
Not all of Britain's 2.8 million Muslims agree.
What is it with british muslims and fundamentalism? :draketf:
