Siad Barre was a shrewd leader who only cared about his rule and he miserably miscalculated that he could take advantage of the regime change in Ethiopia and thereby become a hero who leads his people as long as he lives. It didn’t only eventuate, but it blew on his face and destroyed our nationhood. Castro predicted it, but he won’t listen.
