This was inspired by @Spongebob and @Farsi posts. I do commend their effort but I really didn’t like any of their designs.
So these are my suggestion for a potential Somali Nationalist/Islamist group.
First design: The Nasrullah Party (named after the Somali nationalist group in Galbeed who fought against the Ethiopians in the 60s led by Garaad Makhtal Dahir)
Explaining the Design:
Pretty simple design, Allahu Akbar in the center with two Quran verses, one on the top and one on the bottom. The top one is from Surah Al Baqara and says “Verily Allah’s Help (Nasrullah) is near” the second one in from Surah Al Saff and say “Help from Allah (Nasrun min Allah) and near conquest”. Somali flag can be seen on the border of the emblem as well as two traditional Somali swords next to the Allah Akbar.
Party flag:
Pretty simple flag with the shadada written as a circle in the middle of the flag. I used the colors of the Somali flag and even thought about adding a start in the center but the decided against it.
Alternate Party Flag:
Just an inverse of the normal Party flag
Second Design: The armed wing of the party, the Ahmed Gurey brigades
Explaining the Design:
Design for this one is also simple Kata’ib Ahmed Gurey is written on top with a Khatam in the center. Inside the Khatam in Calligraphic design of the verse in Al Baqara which says “kill them wherever you find them”. Under the Khatam are two swords.
Flag for the Ahmed Gurey Brigades:
This flag is relatives simple and it’s inspired by Hayat Tahrir Al Sham’s flag but instead of the Shahada the center of the flag says “There is no victor but Allah (La Ghaliba Illa llah)”
Alternate flag:
The Alternate flag for the military wing is also simple it says “Paradise is under the shadow of the swords (Al Janna tahta Dilaal Al Suyuf”)” in Red on a black field.
Third Design: A paramilitary organization in the Ogaden tied to but not officially under Nasrullah called Fursan Harar (The Knights of Harar)
Explaining the design:
Emblem for Fursan Harar is kind of a mix between Nasrullah and Kata’ib Ahmed Gurey. It has a Khatm in the center and inside the khatam there are the famous walls of Harar built by Nur Ibn Mujahid and above the walls is an outline of Somaliweyn (Greater Somalia). Like the Nasrulllah logo there are two lines from the Quran above and below the Khatam. The Ayah on top is from Surah Al Qamar and says “Soon shall this legion be routed and shall turn their backs and flee.” The verse below it is the same as the Nasrullah logo and says “Help from Allah (Nasrun min Allah) and near conquest”. The top of the emblem says Fursan Harar.
What do you guys think?

Should our flag be updated?
I think it's time to let go of our current flag and embrace a new one.
