It depends on the subreddit, it used to be good a few years ago, but now it seems like it has become a liberal echo chamber.
They have shadow banned /r/Russia
You gotta tailor it towards your interest, its good for anything niche

I avoid the big subs and only read their threads if the topics interest me. Otherwise I get sick of the liberal and overly western orientated comments. The geopolitics which I was avid reader has turned to shit for the same reasons you have said. Can’t even get another viewpoint without being downvoted.
I mainly browse subs related to technology, economy and history, especially the first two. Still gotta be on guard when browsing these subs so I won’t get lost. Reddit offers access to multitude of interesting topics and it has people who work in key industries and have inside information regarding future projects. Thats why I like it.

I think I'm banned from like ten different reddits. I'm banned from the Islam reddit, Pakistan reddit, Bangladesh reddit, I got banned from Aznidentity.... I can't remember all the reddits I've been banned from.

I have never been banned from any, but I have noticed major subreddits tend to create groupthink.
Smaller subreddits are fine most of the time, but the big ones.. massive echo chambers.
I wonder who exactly controls reddit. I cannot at all grasp what it is going through the minds of redditers. They want to be robots at the tune of.... whoever or whatever is controlling reddit? Why do basically all reddits push basically the exact same kind of ideology? I can't even stand to read reddit. I don't exactly find their stuff relateable.
