It was surprise attacked. Walaahi I was shocked how effective it was.

Dhullos milita attack from the south (Hawd)

MJ Miltita + PL forces from the east.

They used some sort of Blitzkrieg attack from multiple angles military tactic I suppose. It is odd that such a high ranking colonel would be die in battle. High ranking important military men are usually given a ton of protection. I feel for the old man Wallahi AUN.

I hope HA learn from this and leave this HJ Silyano blueprint of capturing Harti land.

I guess they weren't expecting MJ's to join the attack. They thought they would sit back and have Dhulos do the job.

Surprise attack is being ambushed unexpectedly. But SL and PL have been staring at each other, aware of each other’s movements thru binoculars and knew that attack was imminent.

Also it basic military tactic to always watch your flanks and 6 or your rear.

Since they always seem to “surprised” as in Adhicadeeye 2004, Kalshaale 2011, and May 15th, 2018.

It speaks volume to lack of preparation and that falls on the officers and leadership.

Also even @Saahid Qamaan knew Puntland would attack on May 15th whilst SL was busy “celebrating” yet SL military leaders didn’t see it coming.

Still despite the numerical advantage of Puntland, the terrain, the SL troops did admirable job in defending their positions.

From my sources: SL lost 1 bebes, 6 technicals. The dead is probably around 20+

On PLand side it is confirmed, they lost their only tank and about 4 technicals.

Tukoraq still remains in SL hands

You're right. According to Nuh Ismail Tani, 54 of PL forces were captured and it's also believed that PL casualties were higher on their side but AUN to all the brave SL soldiers for defending their national sovereignty.

Do you have a Roku box with channels such as Horn TV, Somaliland TV, Somali Cable TV, SNTV? I am seeing conflicting reports on the outcome. I guess we will find out the truth tomorrow morning.

They are excited because they did show captured SL vehicle plus a confirmed death of high ranking SL officer. If I were them, I would be excited too

However the real news is slow and it will come out later this week. We will see who is still in control of Tukaraq despite the tremendous push by Puntland, the SL line did held up and actually did pushed them back.

Yes I do brother. Horn capable TV made an interview with Nuh Ismail Tani in Tukaraq and he was explaining about the incident and how they successfully repelled Puntland.

I am scrolling through all these channels I mentioned above. Why can't their be one neutral news channel that gives us an unbiased outcome:rejoice: . I thought Somaliland got utterly destroyed, but I am seeing conflicting reports. It looks like Pland was somewhat repulsed, although they did make a push through Tukaraq.

Considering MJ Cumar Mohamud were also apart of the attack, that is a favorable outcome for Sland. I'll watch the news tomorrow morning as the news is painfully slow right now.

They didn’t use blitzkrieg as that would work into SL advantage, they used more of pincer movement.

SL was deep inside SOOL, so Puntland stationed troops in front and exchanged gun fire to distract, meanwhile Dhuloz militia and MJ militias went toward the South(Hawd) and attacked from the rear. As the attacks from rear were happening, Main forces from the Garowe side and those Towards Bari side attacked at once

This is pure speculation but I would think that’s the only way Puntland could have moved around SL positions.
