I can't understand how this gov with troops trained by Turkey and US perform so bad against militia with AK-47 and RBGs? Where is the training, drones, ammunition, reconnaissance.

The poor performance is rooted in mismanagement, corruption and a general poor leadership, the people in different position levels of the FGS are mostly incompetent, as a result this leads to poor morale among the troops etc, so the difference between shabab and the tfg is the leadership in the ultimate, shabab fighters are convinced they're fighting for a purpose which gives an extra boost in motivation, while you cannot say the same about the FGS troops who often times even don't get paid their salary..why should one die for a goverment who can't even pay you salary and even worse can't take care of your wife and kids in case you get killed.
That is why reer South Somalia keep comparing Puntland army morale with FGS militant morale.

If Mogadishu falls to these people, that's it for Somalia. All the embassies will close and the country will fall into a deep black hole. The fact HSM and his cronies don't seem to give a damn, is very worrisome.
But if a rival clan came to them, they would chop them up again. We all remember the inter-Abgaal wars where they were using machetes and burning dwellings. Iyaga isku xiniyo wayn and it's a disease that exists in all of South Somalia, except for Xawaadle and a few others who do their best.

Moreover, the so-called Federal Government has been weaponised against stability and serves as a piggy bank for thugs. It will be business as usual and the only difference is that Culusow, his fellow tuugs will burrow themselves deeper into the arms of foreign troops.

The Taliban are more evolved beings, outside of their views on women. They actually build things, unlike the sex trafficking cult known as AlShaydaan. These perverts run around with condoms, plan b and other items to sexually exploit women.

Taliban just five years ago were viewed in a similar light as Al-shabaab. They were viewed by Muslims as a terrorist organisation, they did suicide bombings in civilian/governmental areas and were the base of Al Qaeda.
Now they are the poster boys of Islam for Muslims, and supposedly the only free muslim country from western powers...praised everywhere(the only slight being against them is women's education.)
Who knows if AS won't make concessions like the taliban in doha and drop their Al qaeda affliations? If the 360 on Afghanistan has taught me anything and the Syria rebels transformation its that for power even the most extreme groups will make concessions....

That’s likely because they’ve been banging their head against the wall. Look at IS, defeated and destroyed everywhere. They probably realize they need to tone down the violence and brutal interpretation of Islam. IMO they are stupid for not realizing earlier that Muslim people don’t want to be treated like animals by them.
