The only Somali home owners I know are Somali professionals with good salaries in America. I know a decent amount of 40 year old Somali professionals with homes.

The thing is though, the statistic of us being in social housing is from the 2021 Census. Our ethnic group data has been widely released to the public by the ONS (it's easily accessible). When I've tried to look at the data of other ethnic groups such as: pakistanis, eritreans, ghanians, congolese, theirs aren't publicly and easily accessible - you have to do a FOI request! We have haters within the civil service!

Relying on government housing for a long period time is poor people shit. I bet most of that 30% are poor uneducated citizens.
We have a lot of old Somali men retiring in the next 20 years. Most of them will have lived in government housing for most their life in the west.
