state level surveillance of communication and money transfer with strict policy against working with Alshabaab will work.It is a silly comparison. Shabab emerged of out the local population after the war between the courts and warlords. They got stronger during the Ethiopian occupation, again working with local clans to fight the Ethiopians.
Shabab has embedded itself in clan structures in southern Somalia and they control swathes of territory with large populations. They infiltrate the highest levels of southern Somali agencies.
Dacish in comparison consists of no more that a 1000 guys hiding in the mountains and the surrounding countryside. PL still has not defeated them btw.
You can’t replicate what PL is doing in the south or even compare the situations.
There has been an improvement in Xamar security. CCTV and more scrutiny of transactions is helping.state level surveillance of communication and money transfer with strict policy against working with Alshabaab will work.
This is a lie. There has been no improvement in Xamar security. People are routinely assassinated for installing CCTV. Stop it.There has been an improvement in Xamar security. CCTV and more scrutiny of transactions is helping.
My point still stands though; it is futile to compare PL Dacish situation with Southern Somalia AS. One of the problems very few are highlighting is how many Somali forces go into battle essentially resembling the same rag tag forces they are fighting. Those commanders and generals trained in Turkey etc are thrust into positions they are unqualified for and the old heads are useless.
PL btw is sustaining too many casualties and long term injuries against Dacish. After 30 years why are soldiers still not full equipped with simple protective gear? In the South they don’t even build basicse secure defensive positions and it often results in soldiers being massacred in their sleep.
The one positive is that PL young commanders are now learning on the job in the rugged mountains. If those guys survive and are trained further you will have some battle hardened counter insurgent experts.
You’re chatting shit. Xamar security has improved. Remember how many bombings there use to be. Improvement does not mean security situation is perfect. This is a lie. There has been no improvement in Xamar security. People are routinely assassinated for installing CCTV. Stop it.
There are still many bombings, they just aren’t reported as much. Remember Lido beach, or the hotel where the Xildhibaans were? Come on my guy. To call this an improvement is a joke really. You’re chatting shit. Xamar security has improved. Remember how many bombings there use to be. Improvement does not mean security situation is perfect.
Has Muqdisho security improved, yes or no?There are still many bombings, they just aren’t reported as much. Remember Lido beach, or the hotel where the Xildhibaans were? Come on my guy. To call this an improvement is a joke really.
Anytime you go to war you'll always lose people. BTW, Dacish casualties are far far higher than PL casualties. PL casualties are mostly caused by landmines and other explosives. While besides from a few US airstrikes, almost all Daicish terrorists who died were killed by directly PL forces.PL btw is sustaining too many casualties and long term injuries against Dacish.
You are just jealous of PL success kid, it’s very obvious by your bitter tone in this thread. You and the others who are butthurt like you. Xamar security has improved but for the first time ever a guy blows himself up at the beach after passing through several security checkpoints. Tell me, how did that happen?Has Muqdisho security improved, yes or no?
The development in the city alone suggests an improvement.
Shabab attacks have decreased in number I believe and there will be some data shows that if we are talking objectively.
In any case, you are just arguing for the sake of it. None of this refutes my point: PL fighting (and taking far too many casualties) some 800 men isn’t not the same as fighting one of the longest running insurgencies in Africa.
There are some lesson to be learned from pl, however, their model is not necessarily applicable to the South, same way the Hiiraan model is not applicable to all Somali regions.
PL is fighting ISIS by itself and has had massive success against ISIS which is much more sophisticated and brutal than shabaab while this clearly bitter kids people need billions in foreign funding and African union troops and still can’t move an inch.Anytime you go to war you'll always lose people. BTW, Dacish casualties are far far higher than PL casualties. PL casualties are mostly caused by landmines and other explosives. While besides from a few US airstrikes, almost all Daicish terrorists who died were killed by directly PL forces.
How is he jealous for saying the situation of PL is not applicable to other Somali regions or vice versa when that’s the truth? It’s not a valid comparison to make. Xamar security has most definitely improved from before, people feel much more safer, the police have caught many sh*bab through the checkpoints and there’s CCTV being implemented everywhere. No one said xamar is perfect but there’s an improvement. You are just jealous of PL success kid, it’s very obvious by your bitter tone in this thread. You and the others who are butthurt like you. How did you arrive at this conclusion? Not tacitly propagating Dacish propaganda, are you?PL btw is sustaining too many casualties and long term injuries against Dacish.
Ok, what does that tell you?Shabab has embedded itself in clan structures in southern Somalia and they control swathes of territory with large populations. They infiltrate the highest levels of southern Somali agencies.
It is clearly applicable but some regions aren’t willing to fight shebab. Stop making excuses. Culusow left the fight against shebab to focus on writing his fake constitution, otherwise they may have actually been defeated by now. These people don’t care, get it through your head. I know you are very new to all of this but you will learn a bitter lesson like everyone else in due time. All this guy is doing is deflecting failures and feeling some kinda way about this thread which calls Xamar out specifically. These questions need to be answered and the answers are just excuses about why shebab can’t be defeated so far. It’s pretty pathetic honestly. How is he jealous for saying the situation of PL is not applicable to other Somali regions or vice versa when that’s the truth? It’s not a valid comparison to make. Haha, they're on their last legs. PL blitzkrieg has dwindled their hideout places to a few km. I wouldn't be surprised at all if this war ends by next week.PL still has not defeated them Daicish.
When will shebab be defeated? Not a question he ever asks himself. Buh buh…PL hasn’tHaha, they're on their last legs. PL blitzkrieg has dwindled their hideout places to a few km. I wouldn't be surprised at all if this war ends by next week.
Ok, what does that tell you?
If Al Shabab is embedded into the clans of the south, then that means those clans and a lot their elders and leaders are for pro terrorism.
This cannot happen in Puntland. Because it proves reer PL aren't for pro terrorism. Which is why Shabab failed for many years to have a stronghold in PL and why Dacish heavily depends on foreign terrorist fighters.
You are displaying feminine energy here talking about butthurt and all, jealousy etc.You are just jealous of PL success kid, it’s very obvious by your bitter tone in this thread.
