The problem is they are encroaching on our identity as a Somali. They are trying to wip it out anyway possible. For instance if some one with brown skin says they are not black some how the black people get butt hurt. Why do they feel insulted if we just identify as Somali? they will claim anyone that brown skin they don't understand or its done of purpose to ignore our identity. For example if an Italian moves to Mexico and they state we are Italian they Mexican people would agree and statement they Italian.

You live in a white country therefore you are a black man that is how the white majority views you. When niggas back home see a British diplomat for example they aren’t differentiating between him being a Brit or Italian or Irish etc to them he’s an cadaan straight up. Same logic applies other way around.

If you don’t believe me go on ahead and rob a bank with a white friend and rob a different bank with a black friend. I’m willing to bet the cops will focus on chasing you specifically instead of ur white friend but they might show mercy cause you have white friends and simply apprehend you. When ur with the black friend chances are y’all gon be jumping up and down ducking shots like a lil girl playing jump rope. obvs somalis understand that they are racialised as ”black” (even this depends on where u are in the world), but it’s not an identity for most. Black doesn’t say anything about your lineage, ancestry, history, culture etc.. it’s not anything to identify with unless ur black american.

It’s their country so they are free to label you how they want the same way if they come to our country we use whatever labels we want. Just cause we are more complex with our labels doesn’t mean we are entitled to the same treatment the other way around.

Would somali people get angry at a kenyan in Somalia who refuses to identify as jreer? lol we might call him that but he might not want to identify as such. Would we throw tantrums over that ?

I think the Black American are understanding the campaign we have been running for along time now.They even themselves started to talk about delineation between the black American and africans. They even rosed up and created a Qabil for themselves without us teaching how Qabil are formed. All black American for the past 2 years have been chanting "WE are FBA". They got ride of the kumbaya identity of we are all black if you come from africa. The FBA identity delineated from the african because they don't like how west african look and in addition to this when an african did a crime they just claimed the black identity but those crimals would never state they are Nigerian for South African when they are asked to identify. What's more funny is the fba found out when african did something amazing they would claim they true identity as Nigerian or South African but never black at that point . I support the FBA movement and delineation from these musty africans

He’s not really a jreer tho is he that term is mainly used for the Bantu tribes inside of Somalia. Its much more likely they will simply call the Kenyan dude a Kenyan or more specifically his tribe like kikuyu or masaai for example. The diaspora use that term for madow in general but its not used the same way back home.
