It has a love story but for some reason they had a Somali man and an Italian woman in blackface acting as a somali woman.
Also back in those days they added the voice on top of the film so idk, most of the film is in italian for some reason some english too

I don't think it depicts the dervish war though, it depicts some battle between the Italians and Abyssinians where Somali soldiers were involved. This happened after the dervish campaign.
