Berbera has been brought up by HJ and Sacad Muuse, my cousin who is from Berbera told me the CM used to talk so much about how they own Berbera and everything. But then they looked around and realised they sold most of the land to SM and HJ. Now they don't talk so much.

We have always lived in berbera and it's surrounding areas. SM moved from the coast 100 years ago, you guys got no rights you don't have any deegans in berbera that is why you can never be dominant there. Why do you think HJ is not dominant in Hargeisa we are not from the region that is why.

Anything East of Berbera is HJ land for 400 km till you reach xiis, then beyond that is HY east. HJ also have the second most seats in berbera local government. We inhabit the largest land in gobalka saxil. We have turned our attention to burco before now we shall turn to Berbera. 10 - 15 year time we would be majorly in berbera we already got east Berbera on lock.

HJ originally used to inhabit east Berbera and and it's outskirts no one can deny that we still live the we have not lost an inch of land. The next village east of Berbera Ceel garde is only 25 km from Berbera, we also inhabit ceel daraad, Karin, laas idle karin...
My great great grandfather was born in berbera but we most HJ men used to pass through and go to Aden which was much bigger back then to find work or go there for education. The British signed 6 treaties with 6 clans in Somaliland Ciise and Gudabiirsi signed theirs in Zaylac, HA Berbera, HJ and HY in Aden and Wersengeli by the sultan.
Today it's hard to see SM in berbera but there is plenty of HJ in the city, I have family who live there today. We own houses land commercial property...etc.
