Eastern Europe in general is finished they die more often than they give birth Ukraine and Russia won’t recover from this war

Ukraine is fucked. They lost 7 million of their population, who fled as refugees. Another million who died in war. Combined with the lowest birth rates in Europe.

However Russia will increase their population by over 10 million from annexing Ukrainian territory. A million Ukrainian children were relocated from the warzone and adopted by Russian families as well. And up to 2 million Ukrainians refugees may relocate to Russia by the time the war is over. So for them, this war was a huge net gain demographically. They will increase their population by over 10 %.
