This is the perfect time to drill for oil in somalia if there's any oil.
No one wants that, there’s no strong will in Somalia to do anything, we run behind few corrupt selfish people who will not do anything for us, and we do nothing about it. Why there’s nobody establishing a political movement, some who have common thinking and make their will a reality? Really liked 60s, 70s leftist youth organising, overthrowning old regimes and establishing phenomena. Simple youth could change countries back then

Aid is the root cause why there won't be any changes in underdeveloped countries like Somalia, anyone with a brain who has the potential to change things is either assassinated or kept out of influence...
The US is obviously not going to release the actual imports numbers as it would be national security issue. however i highly doubt only 5 percent is from Saudi Arabia.
I'm very curious how this war will effect Ukraine demographically. It already suffered from very low fertility, no economic growth, high death rates(pre-war),very high emigration, declining population, etc. If this war drags on, more people die, infrastructure damaged, millions of refugees don't return I don't see how Ukraine becomes a viable nation
people breed like rabbits post war. it happens in every single country from Vietnam to Europe after ww2.
this might kickstart a baby boom both in Russia and Ukraine the longer this conflict drags on
That was in the 40s when the GDP per capita in Europe was $800 and Europeans were already popping out 3 kids on average. In 2022 I doubt a baby boom will happen, the culture is too different. I think Ukrainians will just leave to Poland, Germany, etc, The fertility rate in Ukraine decreased after the Crimea/DPR wars in 2014 btw
All it takes are a few educated people to come together for this to happen
