This could potentially be a big moment on 21st century. Western hegemony is being tested and the coming years will show us the impact this conflict has had.

There is the new cold war happening. Russia/China and USA led western coalition will fight each other by proxies.

For africans, this means countries will align with either with the West or Russia/China axis.

The US will only ever be destroyed from the inside, it will win any Cold War against Russia and China.

Reason being is that similar to the last Cold War, China and Russia’s people have a smaller apetite for conflict compared to the Americans.

For Americans, they can be in conflict for decades and their economy will not be impacted and their people will live stable lives. In Russia and China, their people are dirt poor and will become poorer as their oligarchy gets richer.

Don’t get me wrong, the US has an oligarchy class as well that will get rich but the average person will not starve like a Soviet did 50 years ago.

Also, China is boxed in by its enemies. The US has naval bases all around China’s neighbours and it’s bordered by a nuclear power in India and numerous war hungry militaries waiting for China to test them.

The Ukrainians have been going on killing sprees since the 2014 coup, they believe Eastern Ukraine should be void of any Ethnic Russians, they even banned the language and arrested/tortured anyone with a slight pro Russian stance, so far 8 million Ukrainians have fled the country, Ukraine is effectively a third world nation.

The problem is once the dissolution of the Soviet Union occured, some parts of Russia were to be added to Ukraine as a gesture of friendliness, unfortunately the kiev regime overstepped their boundaries, they had 8 years to accommodate the guidelines set out by the Minsk agreement, Putin had enough.

Invading a weaker country is the easy part, the hard part is keeping it under your control once you have captured it. Russia is capable of conquering Ukraine but holding it is a different story, so the Russians will probs try to install a pro-Russian gov in Kyiv.

Putin in my opinion has gone a step too far, he should've stuck to annexing Russian separatist regions. He has now started something he might not be able to finish.
