Edit:Forgot to mention he makes his coin off of “learning our language” which is quite sad, because it’s the only thing giving him relevancy. Why can’t he make a video about learning his own language, British English. Maybe teach those on YT how to speak that, instead of milking and drying our language for your own deeds.

I agree it is very weird for an ajnabi to want to learn somali. It isn't like French or Spanish or even arabic that can be used in multiple countries. It's fishy.

I think we should chill and stop being so tribal. As far as I’ve heard he’s quite neutral/benign he doesn’t say ignorant things or things that paint us in a bad light.The same cannot be said for the plethora of Somali kids in social media acting a complete fool 24/7. Or the numerous Somali husbands/wives who co-sign their ajinabi partners dumb ( sometimes racist) shenanigans. Is it me or did we have a case of a Somali guy whose Asian wife called him the N word?

I think he has always come across as pretty decent. Also, why is it an issue if he is interested in Somali language and culture?

I just didn't like it when he encouraged that revert to go for Somali sisters as that revert was definitely objectifying Somali women which shows lack of haya and Islamic akhlaaq.

You're okay with a white guy teaching people how to speak somali and talking down to us as if he knows more about somalinimo than we do? Offering up his somali sisters in law as brides to reverts with tattoos? I'm not excusing the other people's behaviour that you mentioned but im talking about him not them right now.

Why is it okay for someone to have genuine interest in Korean, Italian or Spanish langauge and culture, but not Somali?
He is married to a Somali woman and a father to a half Somali child. I think its nice that he is interested and there is nothing wrong with making youtube videos on what you're interested in.

Also, @QueenofKings made a good point. If you want to suggest that he is making money of our langauge and culture, then who cares, its going to a Somali woman and half Somali child anyway.
