You're okay with a white guy teaching people how to speak somali and talking down to us as if he knows more about somalinimo than we do? Offering up his somali sisters in law as brides to reverts with tattoos? I'm not excusing the other people's behaviour that you mentioned but im talking about him not them right now.

I’ve just skimmed watched some of his videos most of them appear to be language related, and some advice to people dating/marrying Somalis. And he doesn’t post that often which means he’s not making as much money off his yt as people think. I don’t see any negativity here. He’s being respectful most of his advice is stemming from a religious place. As for talking down thats your perception. I didn’t feel the same way.

He's very kind and helps other reverts to get married with muslims. MashAllah I have nothing but respect for this man.

He's a white English man though & that's the lineage his descendents/children will have, I can't imagine most people putting their heritage aside to learn about Somalis or others in general ahead of their own. It seems to be a theme with people who aren't taught too much about their identity they'll decide 1 day to learn about the somebody else's (writing books about other ethnicites & nations, talking about them on their social media & the last step would be intermarriage) but it's better to marry a foreigner who would want to learn about your culture than one who doesn't.

I think we should chill and stop being so tribal. As far as I’ve heard he’s quite neutral/benign he doesn’t say ignorant things or things that paint us in a bad light.The same cannot be said for the plethora of Somali kids in social media acting a complete fool 24/7. Or the numerous Somali husbands/wives who co-sign their ajinabi partners dumb ( sometimes racist) shenanigans. Is it me or did we have a case of a Somali guy whose Asian wife called him the N word?
