Saudi VS Iran : A case study on why culture and education will always trump $

Look at Saudi and Iran, on every economic metric KSA is doing better than Iran.
But despite 30 years of heavy sanctions unlike KSA Iran has an independent and industrialized economy thanks to their educated and competent population.
They produce more engineers per capita than Japan or US, they have their own manufacturing industries where they produce their own pharmaceuticals, automobiles, food, and even weapons. They even have their own nuclear and space programme. Their universities rank the highest in the middle east and produces talent that gets poached by Silicon Valley's best.
Meanwhile KSA have nothing to show for their high GDP. Nearly 50 years as the largest exporter of petroleum oil and the economy is still run by foreigners from top to bottom. Every analyst is predicting Saudi's economy to flatline within the next two decades.
Education is everything bros and remember always: a fool and his money are soon parted.

I forgot to mention the most embarrassing part of this karbaash. An L so big

Be Saudi Arabia.
Have a $100 billion military defence budget.
Own the best weapons the world has to offer.
Lose to illiterate literal goat herding shoeless Yemenis :damn: :damn: :damn: :damn:

The Hijaz needs to secede from this embarrassing nation, our holy lands should not be associated with such karbaashed people.

Its only going to go downhill here on out once Abo US kicks them to the curb because of falling oil prices :damn: :damn: :damn:

There men are so coward, they employ child soldiers from Africa

Because their population is too cowardly and lazy they use mostly mercenaries. From Dafur and poor bedouin tribes, I even heard they have Afghan and Columbians doing their dirty deeds. Dad dhiig la’aan.
The army leadership is all Saudi though which explains the utter incompetence :kanyehmm:

Iran is way superior to Saudi Arabia.
Iranians are smart, loving and educated people. Nothing to add on about them, they've had one of the most flamboyant civilization on earth.

Meanwhile the Beduins of Arabia...They'd be lucky if they can still see their penis.
There's nothing more disgusting than Saudians tbh. Yemenis have the heart, Saudians have the pockets of a corrupted politician.

Most of the early islamic scholars were Persians too, like aimat al hadith.
Imam Al-Nisai
Imam Ibn Majah
Imam Muslim
Imam Al-Bukhari
Imam al Termadi
Imam abu Daud

Also the most influential Muslim scientists in the Islamic golden age.

Ibn Sina.(Avicenna)
One of most influential scientists and philosophers of the Islamic World, Ibn Sina is best known for his important contributions to the field of medicine.

Al khawarzmi.
Persian mathematician is credited with introducing the decimal system to the Western world. A scholar in the House of Wisdom in Baghdad, Al-Khwarazmi’s work on linear and quadratic equations led to the later development of algebra, a term which stems from the title of one of his books. The word algorithm derives from the title of one of his books. The word algorithm derives from the latinized form of his name Algoritmi.

Al Razi.

A celebrated polymath, Al-Razi, is considered to be the greatest physician of the Islamic World. He was the first to scientifically identify alcohol in its pure form and produce sulfuric acid. A prolific author, Al-Razi’s encyclopedic reviews of medicine, Al-Mansuri and Al-Hawi, were standard medical texts in European and Islamic universities.

Sheikh Al Ghazali.
The 12th century philosopher, jurist and mystic Al-Ghazali, is regarded as one of the greatest theologians of Islam. His approach to reconciling reason and revelation had an important impact on medieval Christian and Jewish thinking. Known as a mujaddid, renewer of the faith, within Islam, Al-Ghazali’s influential writings made Sufism an acceptable part of orthodox Islam.

Jabar ibn Hayan
Al Farabi
Al Biruni
Omar Al Khayyam

and the list goes on ...

The rest were of Turkic origin or Berber from North Africa like Ibn Khaldun and Ibn Rushd( Averroes).

Arabs were and are just simple geeljires like us Somalis .:mjdontkno:

who invested in Iran?
irans oil revenue
In 1908, Iran was the first country in the Persian Gulf to discover oil. Petroleum has been the primary industry in Iran since the 1920s. Despite Tehran’s attempts to diversify the economy, the oil and gas industry is still the critical engine of economic growth. Oil revenues over the past few years have accounted for around 60 percent of government revenues. But this figure dropped to 47 percent in 2015 after low oil prices forced the government to revise the state budget. Additionally, oil revenues comprised only around 10 percent of the gross domestic product. This trend has remained fairly steady over the last few decades.

somalia also has oil as well as other resources like uranium and fishes and camels along with agricultural things like incense. Somalia could have done the same thing as Iran but unfortunately I think the oil boom is going down and nations that previously relied on oil are diversifying their economies(UAE shifting to tourism ex) but that’s not to say its to late for us to extract our resources. Either way you also don’t need money to be educated North Koreans, Cubans and other communist nations had high educated populations yet they were also and currently are starving

you're right sxb but proper development also requires strong security and a strong government, both of which we need to improve on in somalia

More to do with culture sxb. Blaming government is a scapegoat, plenty countries have had shitier governments. The people decide where the country goes not the government.
Somalia does not have an industrious culture, we place little value on education and hard work. Like someone said, we are closer to the Arabs in that we have a geeljire culture in that we work on getting by in life by doing the bare minimum.
Siad Barre should have went full communist and subjected geeljires to forced labour.

most of us we were nomadic pastoralists throughout history due to the arid climate and divided by clan, that lifestyle and environment prevented us from reaching our potential, but right now we have the opportunity to reform our community for the better and adopt a more industrious ethos
