There are actually a lot of similarities between the two cultures. Both good (e.g family oriented) and bad (e.g tribalism, identical cast system and "my cousin 8×removed money is mine" mentality). The Saudis themselves seem to be astonished by how much we resemble them looks wise and culture wise. In fact, when many Saudi from Najd in particular understand the Somali culture and mind set they find Somali culture closer to their culture than Iraqis, Egyptians and North Africans in general, levantines, and even Yemenis, Omanis and Southern Saudi Arabians. Saudi Arabia is basically a richer, luckier Somalia with less melanin and it resembles southern Somalia under Ajuran when it was visited by Vasco Degama and Ibn Battuta.

That might have to do with T Somali who travelled on the coast crossing into Horn and settling in the north, The closest living relatives outside of Horn seem to be Saudis in the Makkah and Asir provinces, keep in mind these people were not Arabs.

Camel culture seems to resemble early southern Arabian camel husbandry, we don't rid our camels, we use them for milk, and we tend to use donkeys more for transport than Camels.

Actually many people don't know that out of the 40%, 25% comes from western Asia and only 15% comes from north Africa. Now regarding the camel thing, we actually herded camels before the Arabs. Southern Arabian especially in the region of Asir don't herd camels, they herd cows and live a sedentary live as farmers like many Garxjis today.
