When Obama was elected back in the late 2,000s: most African Americans thought a black man running for president is something you can make up -especially in America.

But when he was elected the world was shocked.

Exactly, seeing your face/features gives you more comfort. If all you see is cadaans in media, politics ect. Then you feel it doesn't reflect you.
