Question- did the bab el mandeb have a different name in the past like the gulf of Aden used to be the gulf of berbera/ what is it known as to Somalis I’m curious.
we have the Indian Ocean on one side that could be renamed to the Somali sea, Arabs have their own sea. China has one so we should be able to have one. Gulf of Berbera in the north. Aswell as the bab el mandeb? But what could we call this instead, if there aren’t any well established previous names. Strait of Cisse? I know there’s the gulf of tadjoura but idk
