This was released by Middle Shabelle administration in February 2024. Since then, two further bases were transferred in July 2024. Those being Jowhar and Balcad towns. Today only 2 bases remain in the whole gobol. Region started with 5,000 troops. Now there are roughly around 500-1k troops. Vastly lower figure than foreign troops in Southern Darood lands.

From the last 20 years we can say Abgaal and Ogadeen will be losers if AMISOM left, because they have benefitted from them.
From where I'm standing. Marehan, Habar Gedir, Majeerteen and Dhulbahante would be the winners if AMISOM left.

Yes, Gedo benefits greatly from being bombed by Kenya, propping up Madoobe in Kismaayo and cutting down trees in Jubbaland.
Reer Gedo have gotten rid of AS on their own...no help from AMISOM.
Whilst Xamar needed Ugandan troops in 2008 to secure Xamar from Al Shabaab.

I was honestly waiting for the source of your numbers. As for the number of bases remaining in the whole of Jubaland, it is estimated to be fewer than four. Also, are you seriously comparing Middle Shabelle to Jubaland in terms of landmass and the focus on waging war against al-Shabaab?
The number was given by the middle shabelle district commissioner in a video. It was a while ago but I’ll try dig it up. Specific figure region by region will be released by ATMIS before December. Anyways, the number of bases vacated speak for themselves. From 11 to 2 bases isn’t easy.
Jubbaland has thousands of Kenyan and Ethiopian troops that are unaccounted for that aren’t part of ATMIS. That is the difference. No burundi troop in Hirshabelle was there without being in the ATMIS system. The source I gave with thousands of Ethiopian troops just waltzing in Gedo whenever they felt like it is proof.
Also, The two Shabelle’s are far more important to the FGS than anything in Jubbaland. Understandably so.

Jubaland is a large area that lacks enough trained personnel to properly secure its borders. It also doesn't have the necessary funds, support, or vision, held by the likes of HSM. When the Gorgor troops were in Beledxaawo, they would sometimes cross into Mandera, even with Kenyan Defense Forces (KDF) present. The local people felt more connected and safe with their own troops around, compared to the fear they felt when KDF would enter and take people away. You can see the difference this made.
It's not rocket science why anyone would first remove the obstacles surrounding the capital.

If AMISOM left I think Marehan would be 100% winners. Madoobe would leave. He came on the back of Kenyan trucks and he would be gone, he doesn't have the man power to keep Kismaayo.
Dhulbahante would be winners because Dhulbahante benefit from a free and strong Somalia.
Majeerten would have more influence over South Somalia.

There aren't any AS in Gedo. And you want 1 qabil to fight against a country that has fighter jet pilots?? It would be stupid for Reer Gedo to fight against Kenya, it doesn't make any sense. What makes sense is that Farmaajo was trying to get rid of AMISOM, but HSM needs them so he extended their mandate.
