Nah the leopard is used by everyone and we dont even have that many, why should we choose a animal that is not native on our lands and not unique enough to represent the somali peoples better? we need something different.

How about the somali oryx? It is a good animal and unlike the other antelopes it appears more bold and stronger

the bad thing is that this animal is a quasi-menace to the wildlife and ecosystem...thats the only negative factor but then it is also the kryptonite to lions.
"Their horns are very powerful weapons and oryx have been known to kill lions with them, that is why they are sometimes referred to as ‘Sabre Antelopes’." it is like the batman (oryx) to the joker (ethiopias national animal) very good for propaganda and can also represent our resilitent and bold spirit.
