Should Arabic be the official language of Somalia?

Should Arabic replace Somali as the sole language of Somalia?

  • Yes

  • Maybe it shouldn't

Somali can be a language of our heritage, but Arabic can be the official language. It is the first step of our Arabization process.

I don't think it should, we should keep our language, that's why i voted no.

No, only Somali and Maay should be the official language of the nation. Other local somali languages must be preserved such as Garre, Tunni, etc..

Arabic can be taught to pupils at school and at monitored dugsis with religious teachers carrying permit (they must be vetted, any quran teacher against our traditional way of Islam shall not be tolerated).

Only official languages of the nation should be languages within the Somali family (Maxaa tiri iyo Maay). Somalis should be taught foreign languages such as English and Arabic during their school lives and an additional language such as Mandarin.
