It's like the shit being said on Somalispot is becoming a reality. Now we even have a Somali politician saying we should establish relations with Israel and cussing Palestinians.
@doroafels
Sxb, should we stop discussing every topic related to politics because it won’t “become a reality”? Who said our discussions here should be L A W? We are exchanging opinions and as you can see from the poll above more than half of the NO pollsters of Somalis here would like if Somalia & Somaliland established a diplomatic relationship with Israel. That itself speaks volumes of the feelings of most Somalis. Look up again.
The guy (Somali politician) didn’t cuss the Palestinians but criticised their leadership of missing so many opportunities to rectify their situation.
Let me ask you, before the 1967 Arab/ Israeli war, who controlled Palestine (100% Palestine with the whole of West Jerusalem and without Israeli settlements)? European colonialists gave their independence to the overwhelming majority of their colonies by 1967, but two Arab countries ruled Gazza and the West Bank & they forgot to grant independence and unite both regions and establish a united Palestinian entity. Jordan controlled the West Bank and Egypt controlled Gaza and they distinguished any Palestinian aspiration to become a sovereign country. The Palestinian leadership were sold to the idea that their big Arab brothers would finally destroy Israel and complete Hitler’s design for the Jews. Then, the Arab world will be united under the leadetship of Gamal Abdelnasir. Each way you look at it, it’s a tragic story and others have used them for political expediency. Syria and Iran followed this route and used the Palestinians via Hamas. Israel became the ‘evil incarnate’ and the bogeyman that these dictators used to scare their population in order to legitimise and rally the public behind their leadership. These Arab countries who once wanted to destroy Israel are now their best friends, why can’t we be?
