Country like Egypt, Egyptians from Israeli mum's are not allowed to have Egyptian citizenship for security purposes even the two countries have signed peace treaty. We should learn from them.

It would be a simple solution. I don't necessarily agree with the concept of just having Abstiri and then being accepted because a person like Maya Jama is more white then somali. Therefore the would be further requirements such as grasp of culture, language test, the deen would have to be islam and they must have an somali partner. If they don't fit this requirements then they too would be rejected. One small positive when somali women marry out, their children have an strong culture background whereas the fathers are very laissez faire and thus they generally identify with their non-somali culture. This is where the test I suggested above would come in handy and separate the good ones from the qashin. Also somali women who have daughters that marry somali men will be accepted as they take on the tribe of their husbands and therefore those kids would know gain an Tribe. They are all the available situations.

There is a difference between a Somali with a ajnaabi mother in the west, and a Somali with a ajnaabi mother back home.

There are full Somalis who live in the west that don't place much importance on their Somali identity even.
