I feel bad for girls who are dark skin tbh especially if they have family and relatives who are backwards. They’re always clowned on for being dark skin by their own imagine what those outside of the family say to them.

I’m blick and Allah knows what my calaf is but even if my calaf is with a dark skin woman I would show her same love I’d show to a mariin or light skin woman.

I don’t think that a preference of skin colour is always centred in self hate, it just depends on how strong the preference is and how they treat people who don’t fit their preference.

Like if a guy said that he preferred light skin but had no problem getting with a darker woman then that’s not self hate. Self hate is calling anyone who’s a tiny bit dark foosha xun and worse insults.

The double standard is very real, women in general don't deal with rejection as well as men do. Even women who know you have no interest in, and they have no interest in you, and you voice you wouldn't deal with a woman that does xyz, and said person did partake in xyz activity they'll flip out and take it as a personal attack.

The reaction varies, some may just be taken aback from it, others would just demand you rescind your opinion and say that you were wrong.

I am light skinned but it's just a skin tone, nothing to be proud of and nothing to be disgusted by.

Since Somali women have the same/similar features, the only difference is the skin colour.

This is what perplexes me.

for example, my sister is maariin but we look very similar and people mistake us for one another.
